The theme here is the contrasting colours and shapes - colours are obvious, but in addition there is the rounded shape of the Webb windmill, and the church spire

Stephen, yes there was some wind, as I had to stop down a long way to get front to back in focus due to using large format. I could not use front tilt to keep it all sharp because that would have thrown part of the windmill out of focus, unfortunately. In a large print, the movement looks interesting :-) Many thanks for the generous comments - Quentin

Superb contrast shot, especially the yellow of the rape seed plants set against a very blue sky. A classic composition. I am just wondering why the top of the foliage in front of the church is blurred, was there some movement caused by the wind? It does not distract from an excellent photo. - Stephen

This scene is a vivid reminder that with the spring...comes hayfever! Brilliantly pastoral. And nice contrast between opposing East Anglian icons...windmills and churches. Inspiring! --Kim

I normally hate Velvia, but the richness of the colours just sings with this image. Your use of horizontal and diagonal lines is visually stimulating.
Flick.
