A traditional karelian house in Paanajärvi, not in very good condition, though. But hay has been made here, too, like everywhere in the village during our stay at 2004. Paanajärvi is the most eastern of the Viena villages i have visited. The old part is the best saved, because there was and still is a threat that it will be drowned if a power plant is built on the Kemi river.
