No way that I would have waken up this sleeping guy to get a better composition and clear view to his face ... no it just had to be like that, taking his nap as the taxi next to him was taking over his job. They got in fact a rather hard job those tricycle men for a very low salary. I never take them on as it is far too hard to see how they sweat by struggeling through trafic by this hot sun. Once I even saw an ox stopping all traffic in the middle of a bridge in Chennai because it became too much for him .... and still those tricycle-men keep on going !

That brings us to the issue of trafic and vehicles in Tamil Nadu :
One rule, very simple, you buy a big horn, as big as you can and only then you look for vehicle to match. Indeed the one who has the biggest horn is lord and master of the road. Volume and weight can only add an argument to your imporium. Lorry- and bussdrivers hardly make space for pedestrians, cycles .... everything that's smaller then their kingdom. Everybody is using their horn as much as possible so that in town, people even don't notice them anymore crossing the street without watching.
If you know to drive in a big town like Chennai (+/- 8 million people), where rules are reduced to a strict minimum as no one respect them , you can drive anywhere in the world.

Recommendation:
As you arrive for the first in Tamil Nadu you must take the front-seat of a bus, I assure you, it is more sensational then a Russian Railway on a fancy-fair.
