The bagpiper, wearing a scarf of green plaid and his blue plaid kilt, performed several tunes for us,
slowly walking back and forth on each side of the plaid runners on the floor.
The sound of it certainly filled up this great hall, and the castle also.
Of note, ensconced in the far wall is a replica of a hidden serf, or "the laird's ear" --the lord's spy,
who would be listening in on his guests' conversations, apparently monitoring their loyalty.
