The first motor home to be tested in a wind tunnel, the GMC was built from 1973 until 1978 by General Motors. It's estimated about 8000 of them are still on the road today which is pretty remarkable considering only 13,000 were built.
A smooth ride was achieved through its air suspension system and the innovative bodywork was made using fiberglass and aluminum panels.
The sleek, low-center-of-gravity model featured front wheel drive and was so popular even Barbie had her own GMC.
