We got a treat on Sunday when we got to watch the original "Miracle on 34th Street"
inside the 80-year-old Michigan Theater. The ornate theater was restored several years
ago and is one of Ann Arbor's jewels. I've seen this movie so many times as a kid on TV,
but this was my first opportunity to see it on the big screen in a setting not unlike the theaters
when the movie came out in the late 40s. All through December the the theater was offering
free admission twice a week to different old holiday movies. Pretty cool.
It was pretty difficult to shot in a darkened theater at low shutter speed, and this is the best shot
I could get off.
Steve, fez up .. did you cry at the end???? That movie is a real tear jerker for me .. every time! Must have been pretty fun seeing it in the theatre!
What a spectacular jewel it is, too! Lovely interior photo's ...

How fun!! I will definately keep an eye out for that opportunity next Christmas season. Nice shot (amazing considering the type shot it is) and beautiful shots of the theater.
