20th December, winter fuUUuuelll

Ah dontcha just love those traditional carols...
There's nothing like the smell of wood burning on the fire.
We don't have a wood burning fire unfortunately,
but I know a man that does.
Aiden is off school sick again,
his temp is up to 39.3.
So he's resting quietly here beside me,
half awake and half asleep.
His big eyes looking up at me.
He was very giggly last night,
maybe a bit of fever.
He was saying 'grRRrrRr grRRrr, I'm the kissing monster!'
and covering me with big wet sloppy kisses.
Which made me laugh...

He's up and seems fine now, been looking out of the window

Even cold firewood looks warm.

Log-tastic!! You can't beat a real fire :)

this shot brings back good memories of open fires burning brightly. sadly not
something one can have in these parts due to pollution regs. :(

For 300 days in the year, I love pressing the button on our gas 'coal' fire but at this time of the year......

Warmth is the last sort of thing Aiden needs right now with such a high temp & would be better with his feet in a bucket of that snow to get it down quickly.
Like your shot, & your singing, Andy :>)

nice shot of the firewood sheltering from the snow!

Yeah - nothing like the smell of a Warming fire when there i a chill in the air.
Hope Aiden is on the mend - kids seem to bounce back a lot quicker than we old farts!

Who would think firewood could be so picturesque? Hope he gets better quickly.

Lovely slice of family life, Andy. Hope Aiden gets better before Santa's visit.
