Another distant image, but useful in that most of the time we are scoping through Scaup, they ARE usually pretty distant. In direct comparison, note the significant differene in head shape of the sleeping female Greater on the right, and sleeping male Lesser on the left. This allows these birds to be ID'd at long ranges.
