Chambers Pillar . NT

Northern Territory OZ

South of Alice Springs and a landmark for many kilometres around the pillar dominates the landscape. A photographers dream, velvia heaven.
What goose built a steel enclosed walkway around the base and for what dopey reason. You cant even see the rock up that close and the heat blows the mind away.Eventually reason will return with the demolition order.
Early traveller graffiti is providentially just out of reach from the walkway. What a journey that must have been on horseback.
Even the Toyota troopie worked hard in 4X4 and low low in the transfer case and yet another goose dragged in a Winebago. Some people.
