The spring is dappled in pale greens and yellows
then draped in garish bloming flowers

The summer is colored with brilliant sunlight,
ocean blues and deep forest green

The autumn has the pale leaf colors of spring and the gaudy
bues, reds and yellows of every flower, painted deeper
and wider than imaginable
It’s splendor always a surprise no matter how anticipated

Then the winter wraps the world in deadly monotones though
ice traps all colors in trillions of shiny rainbows

But between the exhausting pomp of autumns glory and winters
final trump is a time of soft muted colors, dark skies and wet ground
Everything is brown or some muted shade of brown
