Jacquie Thuemler

Tonight in the little town of Corning CA (my home town)
we had our Christmas Parade. People take there stuff
and put Christmas lights on it. Horses, tractors, cars,
dogs, themselves....then they walk down main street.
It is kind of cool, in a small town way.

This picture is of James and Alice, my son and his girl
friend. We went to the parade together. They are both
19 and they look very cute together.

Nice portrait. I like the tone of the lighting.

Very Nice Jacquie! My wife's grandparents lived in Corning for many years.

You've captured the moment beautifully. It does look like a smudge though around the young lady's mouth.

Yep I used my big external flash mounted on a flash bracket. I always want by photos sharp as can be, but I have been playing around with softening things. I created a duplicate layer here then used a skin filter, then erased over there eyes only. So it does look a little softer than the original, but I like it. Not as harsh as as when it was sharp.

Great composition and color. Question: are her teeth out of focus or is it just my monitor? You got two 19 yr olds to smile! Chalk one up for you, for sure.

Great shot Jacquie. I'll assume you used your big external flash?
