-5° Celcius

Sweden

Yes, the winter is here. It can be really beautiful but I don't appreciate the cold...

Mary Anne, DSLR is the way to go if you want to have more control. I've tried to shoot macro with an non DSLR and it ain't easy... =) I would recommend a Canon body and the Canon EF 100 2.8 Macro. /Jonas

Designboy, I'm using a G3, no closeup lens or filter, as I'm saving all my pennies for a DSLR. The G3 gives remarkable macro shots at times, and then I can't get it to focus for anything. I think it has something to do with the way its sensors react to certain colors.

I got the chills, just by looking at this photo, good job/ Jonas.
I wouldn't mind to trade (for a few days) the heat of florida for the cold of Sweden :-)

Great photo Mary Anne. I really like it as it is. But as you say another shot closer might be a totally different image. What camera and lens are you using? /Jonas

Nice shot. I'm having trouble focusing as close to snow and ice as I would like. Here's one I took at 30,000 feet as I was returning from a trip to Florida.

Now I just have to work at some scenes closer to home as winter embraces the northeastern U.S.
