Atlas Shrugged (Nov 17, 2004)

NYC

"...if you saw Atlas, the giant who holds the world on his shoulders, if you saw that he stood, blood running down his chest, his knees buckling, his arms trembling but still trying to hold the world aloft with the last of his strength, and the greater his effort the heavier the world bore down upon his shoulders--what would you tell him to do?"
"...what would you tell him to do?"
"To shrug."

~Ayn Rand

Don't dignify Ayn Rand by quoting her. More more malevolent philosophy is scarcely imaginable. But the photo is nice.

FYI: It's Atlas *shrugs* (or _Atlas Shrugged_)

Excellent shot - the way the statue stands out from the fog and haze. Great perspective. If you haven't already, you should consider framing this one and hanging it on your wall! Good job!
