Left work a little early today and went to the Viking museum in Roskilde. They have 7 original viking ships that have been excavated from the area, as well as re-created ships made exactly how they were once made using viking hand tools. The videos they have in the museum of how they crafted these ships is very interesting. All materials used are identical to original ships. This market trader was dated to 960 a.d. You can see by the iron frame that not all wooden pieces made it to present day.
