whooo, the image is amazing

The exposure time and framing are just perfect. There is not only the big explosion filling out the upper part but only great detail (including some smoke and the red enlightened water) in the lower part of the image.

g'day John & Fred - noise equiv in a2? - hmmmm... me thinks iso300 ;-) to iso400. heres a link to full size original:http://www.pbase.com/adrianox/image/36382780/original

Fred - do not be greedy - u have your D70!!! - just give me your minolta glass... seriously tho.... I did take the d7 beast back to the shop - its wonderful - but DSLRs generally do not do it for me (didn't know till i tried) - the image quality is superb out of the box - we Ax's just have to work harder on the pp. adrianox

Nice fireworks, Adrian. Looks fantastic to be iso 1600 without pp....hmmm...to order one or not to order one ..that is the question..;-)

Nice numbers Adrian and a nice result. Good title too. How's the noise level in the full size image and what would be the equivalent ISO speed (for noise) with the A1/2? Cheers, John
