Technology…sometimes it’s like a drug.
Today, I had a little time between finishing clinic at the cerebral palsy school and starting my on-call duties at the hospital so I stopped at COSTCO to pick up a few supplies. I saw the Star Wars DVD’s and could resist no longer. Anyway, if it is at COSTCO, the price must be good.
I first saw Star Wars when I was 5 years old. My Mom stood in line for hours and hours to get my sister and me tickets. That’s love. This movie has always had a special place in my heart, no different than millions of other people. When I made my paper gingerbread man for Christmas when I was in first grade, I made it in the image of Han Solo. Anyway…
I didn’t really notice how corny many of the scenes really were until I got to see the movie in glorious, hi-resolution digital. This was made possible by my nifty laptop. I knew there was a reason why the LCD is in 16:9 ratio. I had some down-time during the call so I squeezed in some of the movie.
Back then, I was small and watched it on the big screen. Now, I’m bigger and am watching the movie on a small screen. I guess that’s technological progress.
Anyway, sorry for the lack of thoughts that make sense.
See you tomorrow…
