Dunluce Castle, on the North Antrim coast, is mentioned in the fourteenth century
as one of the properties of de Burgo or de Burgh in the Earldom of Ulster. It is
believed to have been built by Richard de Burgh or one of his followers sometime
in the thirteenth century.
