One of the ravens that has been taunting Snazzy ever since the first encounter with them as the apparent Lords of Darkness before the dawn, buzzes him closely and then flies over the lagoon, fooling him into a splashy dash into the water, to the edge of the shallow. The geese are totally nonchalant and don't make a single detectible more in response to the intrusion. Do they know that the water is too deep for him to run after them on the other side? Or is he still just to far away to be of concern?
