11/03/04 - Confused

Help. It's getting grim. No flowers. Almost no leaves. No sun. Grey skies & and a brisk north wind. And the worst is yet to come. Winter never bothered me before I became interested in photography. Freeman Paterson, my favorite photographer, claims to like shooting gray/brown monotone scenes of fall. Sorry, Freeman - but I still don't see it. I'm trying but it's downright depressing. ----- This is a multiple exposure. Trying to make something of nothing. Shows how desperate I am.

Very interesting effect here, Ed. I think you find beauty in winter-a different kind of beauty.

Ed, I'm bookmarking this because I want to read all the responses. They need to be shared by the multitudes that are starting to shake at the thought of winter. I'm 2nd in line (only because you got there first.)

This is a really cool shot, btw.

I love the woods in all seasons. This is an excellent 'painting' photo. Keep looking, the bare branches etch wonderful patterns against cloudy skies.

Ed, You might do some winter wildlife shooting when the snow's down. Takes a lot of patience and bun freezing but it can really be neat...especially animals of color ( Red foxes, male Pheasants, etc) in a treed or field ,snowy setting. Gene

And your not even talking about the election. :)
