Nice picture of Cheops . . . I used to live and work on the South Rim (worked as a cashier in the El Tovar) and I hiked, with a couple of other El Tovar co-workers, to the top of Cheops at the end of 1995. There is something about the Canyon that draws me to it, I need to go back there again soon (I went in 2001, but it was not a long trip and I spent most of it at Phantom Ranch with a blister the size of my thumb on my heel - that's what I get for hiking from the North Rim all the way to Phantom in one day without good shoes).
