Mission Ranch is a former dairy farm that has been converted to guest accommodations, which are spread out over the vast property. There are green fields, wetlands, tennis courts, and a restaurant. But I was not here to explore the grounds (which were admittedly beautiful). Both Mission Ranch and the much more modest Homestead, where I was staying, are owned by Clint Eastwood, former mayor of Carmel. Guests of The Homestead are allowed to have a continental breakfast here, a short drive away.
