Hi Niamh

I took a few of this 'maiden' - the light was appalling and the view beyond her was dull grey sky seen through a wooded area, so this is a fairly tight crop to tyr to get the best of an awkward setting.

very appealing shot. the sculpture looks perfectly at ease with her surroundings.

Hi

This one of two 'mud' sculptures in the grounds of the Lost Gardens of Heligan in the county of Cornwall in the UK. I will have try to find my guide book to look up the artist but as I recall they were made by creating a framework in wood and then plastering the mud on to make the final shape - then planting and coating in yoghurt to encourage the lichen growth.

The idea being that over many years they will start to slump/collapse to return to the earth.

If you are in the UK or are planning a visit I highly recommend this venue and the nearby Eden Project.

:)
