Moonstruck October 28

When the moon hits your eye like a big-a pizza pie
That's amore
When the world seems to shine like you've had too much wine
That's amore

Bells'll ring ting-a-ling-a-ling, ting-a-ling-a-ling
And you'll sing "Vita bella"
Hearts'll play tippi-tippi-tay, tippi-tippi-tay
Like a gay tarantella

When the stars make you drool joost-a like pasta fazool
That's amore
When you dance down the street with a cloud at your feet, you're in love
When you walk in a dream but you know you're not dreamin', signore
'scusa me, but you see, back in old Napoli, that's amore

(When the moon hits your eye like a big-a pizza pie, that's amore)
That's amore
(When the world seems to shine like you've had too much wine, that's amore)
That's amore

Not too bad for handheld .. only PS was in cropping.

other sizes: small medium original auto

Now see, us Canon users have this special moon exposure mode that creates perfect moon shots every time. SEE WHAT I MEAN . Just kidding of course (that was shot in daylight and photoshopped, which simplifies things). It's darn pesky to get good moon shots at night on a dSLR. It usually requires long bulb exposures, rock steady tripods, remote shutter release cables, mirror lockup enabled, and apparently more knowledge than I have yet :). Clearly you found a good solution. Very nice shot.

Actually, this shot wasn't with the Nikon, but with my Sony F707. I took a couple with the D70 using both the 18-70 lens and a 70-300 and wasn't happy with how they turned out. On a whim, I brought the old camera out. I was surprised to see how much more it captured than the Nikon.

Well, snap out of it!

Hey, what were your exposure settings? We both have D70's, but my moons really suck. (Aw, c'mon, you know what I mean!)

'You're nobody 'til somebody loves you'. Now that's a Deano song. I used to work with a guy that sang 'That's Amore' constantly. Can't stand the song to this day. :) Still, doesn't take away anything from the image. Hopefully, it will still be around on All Hallow's Eve. Hint: Next time use a quote from 'Goodnight Moon' lol.
