Well, as the eclipse became full the color came out nicely.
However, the light was very dim and I was limited by the speed of
my lens (where is that L glass when I need it?), and about 2sec max
exposure before the moon got really really blurry, and not wanting to
go to more than about iso200/400 due to bad noise.
Oh well, its a compromise.
