Weaving is the main cottage industry in Mahdia and we stopped in at one of the workshops to have a look. This man was very friendly and eager to explain the craft to us. He happily demonstrated the art of weaving to us. We could tell that he was a very experienced and skillful weaver from the speed at which he operated the loom.
