I just seen one of these in my yard. I got within inches and took pictures of it.I could not find out what it was until I seen your website. Thanks for having this, now I know what this is.

It was wonderful to find the hummingbirdmoth.com site and in turn your site. My son and I saw a hummingbird moth yesterday in our backyard in Kimberton, Chester County PA. We exchanged some of the same questions and comments to one another that the couple on the website did. Thanks to all of you who take the time to know of and photograph these creatures!

I saw one of these yesterday while mowing. Had no idea what it was...it was very pretty and was able to get inches from it. We have a lot of wildflowers and trees here in central lower penninsula (Wacousta). Found your site and one or North Dakota moths. The Hummingbird Clearwing or something VERY similar is what I saw. What do they feed on and what does the caterpillar look like? I have never seen this moth before...

I love your Hummingbird Clearwing shots you really did a great job. Moths like that are usually very difficult to get close to when they are on the wing!
