These baths were onced famed for being the largest in the Roman world, but today only the basement level of this extensive complex remains. Dry and broken, it is not easy to imagine what the baths looked like in its full glory, but this pool of water left by the rains gives us a sense of the role that water had, and its importance in providing many hours of pleasure to the Romans.
