The tiny windows of a ksar pierce through the dark like the eyes of the Jawa, a fictional character of the "Star Wars" movie. It would not surprise me if much of the inspiration came from exploring the remote places of Tunisia.
Once again, abstraction, incongruity and human values combine to express an idea, Celia. Without those "eyes" this is just another descriptive post card image. But with them, the darkness comes alive with questions. The ancient bricks surrounding them add context, and you leave us all with a decision: dare we enter?
