A fast flyby by one of the Blue Angels gave us the beginnings of a sonic boom today. He was just on the razor edge of going over the speed of sound in this shot. The halo forming around the plane turns into a doughnut with the plane in the middle when the speed of sound is broken.

People, look the gear of this photographer, It explains all, :) Good shot the stabilized 80/400 seems to work well for this one and at that speed you can't get it closer, for sure.
