Chuckle...
I think most of us did something similar first time shooting the moon, Barri. When I purchased my first DSLR, I hadn't learned all the settings at first. I took it outside to shoot the moon, and the flash popped up and fired. The old 300D sure has a bright flash on it! ;-)
Thanks Kelly.
The story behind the moon shot: I kept going out and taking moon shots. They kept on looking like bright fuzz balls. So what is wrong? I go on the internet...do a Google search. First thing that hits me "the moon is almost as bright as a beach on a sunny day" Duh!. So put it on manual, start at the ol' f16 rule make a few adjustments, get a better shutter speed...presto...there is the moon. LOL.
