WHY I NEVER GO BAREFOOT!

I didn't have anything to post tonight...and when I finished a project I was working on
I headed to the bathroom to take a bath! Look what was blocking my way. I did this just for
Carmen and Liza....don't know why they don't want to come for a visit! I've only been bitten
once this year...yes, it hurt for a while, and only killed 20 or so. That's all.

Great view of the stinger! I'm pretty sure the red dots are parasites, some kind of mite.

Petesie:

Where in texas are you that you encounter these do frequentely. I've lived in Texas eight years now and haven't seen a one.

HOW DID I MISS THIS??????? OMG this is just hideous and terrifying as far as I'm concerned. I don't know how you live with them.

OMG I think I'm gonna be sick. Spiders and centipedes are one thing....

*cringes in fear*
I HATE those...and spiders too. For the life of me I don't know how those people on Fear Factor can let buckets of them be dumped on them.

I had planned on visiting but......

Great capture despite it being one of the nasties. My husband was bitten once & he declared it took hours for the throbbing to cease. Pleased you managed to squish without remorse Petesie.

Are you kidding??? I'd wear combat boots and never take them off...!! Fire ants are one thing..; hey, wait! my kid used to work in Sebring, FL, and he used to kill scorpions there...maybe because it's sandy...hmmmm...

Don't worry...I'm far away in Central Texas.

Go barefoot? How do you go to *sleep*? Where do you live -- New York?
Gayle P. Clement14-Oct-2004 04:36
Oh, this one is really scary looking. I remember stopping at a rest stop with kids years ago and seeing all of the signs about scorpions.

Oh yes, I squished him! No mercy for these guys, and I really don't think they are good for anything. I also don't know what the little red dots are.
Carmen14-Oct-2004 04:08
...and then what happened? I always scoop my big scary indoor spiders up and deposit them outside. Can't say I'd be so charitable towards this critter! (What are they good for, by the way? At least spiders catch pesty bugs. Well, and butterflies... Hmm.)
