Hi Tosto..yes coincidence.
Very similar though.
In fact the black backdrop here
has the green tone "disapearing"
as is the case with the Vermeer.
Interesting comparison.

One of most beautiful portraits I have seen on Pbase.
Take a look at "Girl with pearl earring" by Vermeer. Is that a coincidence?
