Pigeon in a Petunia Patch at Union Square Park

Today I purchased a new Canon 50mm Macro lens. It is very light weight and compact - much easier to use than my Canon 100mm Macro lens and it appears to be just as sharp with a wider shooting angle. This photo is just one of a number of test shots I took today. I like the whimsical feeling of this shot.

I've heard of a lonely little petunia in an onion patch...this puts another spin on the old song. Congratulations on your new lens, Hubert, the heliotrope has come out beautifully too.
