The Watcher

In 1991 three cavers made the first ever entry into the Mulu sump. I was fortunate to have been one of them. That day I had my trusty OM-2S with me, and shot this hand held cave image:

Located over 11,000 feet from the main entrance, this magnificent formation stands guard over the deep reaches of the cave system. It has been over 10 years since I was able to cast my light upon this spectacular cave formation. Returning with a digital camera, I was once again able to portray the beauty of this cave. This image (and two at the end of the gallery shot consecutively) were illuminated with two M-3 flashbulbs (one backlit), and one T-32 electronic flash.
