Wild Winds of Mt Everest by MinoltaManiac

This picture is from the series of pics taken at Mt Everest. With this one I've tried to show MTF users the sheer majesty and the unique beauty of this mountain, where everything else looks so puny. Even our everyday fears and troubles dissapear when our eyes see such splendour - oh, how tiny and unsignificant we are! Those rough winds at the mountain top can sweep everyhing - ice, snow, stone and flesh - and you can hear them howling and roaring, at speeds exceeding 250 km/h.
Please take a look at the red arrow in the right bottom corner .. that's my friend, standing maybe 2 kms from me, also taking magnificient shots. And now, take a look at the mountain again - Gosh, nothing is higher, nothing is more ultimate.

Hope you'll like these pics. I'm taking this opportunity to share them with you, because I have no more access to DPreview for some reason.
Now when at home again, I had a chance to browse through all of them once again, and there are quite a few I need to scan in and preserve digitally for my kid(s).

Majestic!

PS Sorry to hear of your troubles... I hope you'll be back in KMTF soon

Actually, what you see there is just his hat :-) This was taken with telephoto lens, and that's why the mountain looks so close. Re. DPreview, I'm banned from there. I dunno for which reason at all, and I haven't received any feedback from them, although I asked few times what happened. But anyway, we can enjoy nice photos without 'em!

sorry to hear you can't access dpreview. a technical glitch? Truly impressive shot - I could barely see your friend.
