Friends...sushi...friends...sushi. This theme is once again visited.
These are two very dear friends and wonderful human beings. One should be familiar if you've seen my other sushi-friendship-themed photos. This restaurant was found in L.A. by my friend, Alejandro. From the outside, it was tough to tell that it was even open. From the inside, one had trouble figuring how they stayed open! Then we had the food. The sign describing the "special of the day" showed just a drawing of the sushi chef with the caption "trust me". Well, that's what we did and boy was it a treat. The nigiri came out one after another and each was an original, delectable creation. The fish rivaled that which Alice and I experienced at the Tokyo Fish Market. In short, I was in culinary heaven.
The only thing better than the food was the company...
