-en route to the trout farm. Mark, Donna, Aven and Garnet, who left Dubai on July 7th,
the day after Martha and me, had joined us in Nairobi for a 6 week holiday in Kenya.
The next day, we were all off to the trout farm, one of the two that Elsen and his
business partner, John Njaguna, own and operate on two of the rivers fed by glaciers
on Mount Kenya. The trout raised are rainbow trout, They have hatcheries on both farms,
and sell trout, both fresh and smoked, into the retail trade in Kenya, mostly to hotels
and restaraunts. Of course they also supply their own restaurant, The Trout Tree,
which is built in and around a massive mugumo (fig) tree on the main trout farm.
