On the eigth day of our trip we took a dayhike up Hanging Canyon to three seldom visited high elevation lakes: Arrowhead Pool, Ram's Head Lake, and Lake of the Crags. The trail up Hanging Canyon is not maintained by the National Park Service, but well worn by climbers. The trail is very steep unlike most other trails in the park which are switchbacked to make travel much easier. This is a picture about half way up Hanging Canyon, and it provides an interesting view on Jenny Lake, one that most people do not get to see.
