Sep 19: What the...

What on earth...? Looking into the viewfinder of the Rolleicord. It's a 'waist level finder' which means you look down at the focussing screen with the camera held at waist level. To make matters worse, the image is reversed left to right, so lining up the shot becomes a real trick. Here, the camera's pointing at the picture I took of Linda last month, as displayed on the computer screen. Why? Oh, I don't know...

Cool. Wish I had thought to shot through my other camera. Okay, so now I'll try that. What do you mean "worse" I loved the reversed image in my first 35mm Exakta. It was cool. Somehow it makes you notice things a bit more, since you have to look for them harder.

so did you have to flip it in order to see it straight as we see it now???

Nice photo, David. I forgot how much I liked your photo of Linda and Rosie, it's great to see it again.

As a kid, I briefly had a Kodak that you looked down into with mirrors all in funny places. I tried some panning shots of planes coming into land...............and lost.

That has GOT to be tough getting used to. I'm sure it would take me forever to get used to backwards composing. This is a neat shot -- cool idea! How was your birthday?
