September-16-2004

Wow, thought I had missed a day somehow (I'm kinda sleepy today) because I looked at my watch and it said it was the 17th. Luckily the watch was a little ahead of itself and it really was the 16th.
Anyway, this is Alan's new toy. It is the state-of-the-art cell phone + camera + video + mickey mouse caddy. From Alan's story of woe, it seems like he went through a lot with Verizon Wireless to secure posession of this beast. I'm sure it will bring him much joy and with 1.3 megapixels, that joy can be captured at any moment.
I ran into a similar issue recently. The Nikon flagship camera, the D2X, was announced yesterday. It has a bazzillion megapixels and I think it can even capture souls. Well, I WANT IT. Good think it won't be available until next year and if I play my cards right (in Vegas) it will be mine...yes...it will be mine. In the meantime, I'm having a ball with my digital elph, and occasionally my Nikon D2h when I have the strength to pick it up. Besides, they say the best camera is the one you are willing to carry with you and Alan's camera phone wins that contest.
