Thanks Rod
Seems like it picks up well on textures, but I've had so many failures when the angle of the light isn't just quite right. It does seem that it's easier to compose in a way too, since there isn't tone and color to worry about, gets down to the "nitty gritty" to use a well worn cliche'. Thanks again.

Excellent intrepretaton! Really love the puff and burn look.Chosing one simple subject works marvels with this technique. The shading on the back cushions cinches this one for me.Was it Brandt that did high contrast nudes ? I could see this one in a Mod Pop museum.Superb.GMV
Thank You very much Mattias. I had thought of that too, but since the processing is done in camera, I would have to take 2 shots, 1 black/whiteboard and 1 in color (I'm lucky to get ONE keeper, hahaa). There are a couple I've done in photoshop (another gallery), making high contrasts, that I could do that with easily - if I can find them....if.

Lovely shot! It'd be cool to see how these objects looked like 'for real' as well, to have something to compare with. Cool gallery that deserves it's place among the populars.
Thanks Andrew
It's a couch with a lot of texture to it, so it's a good subject for this type of photography, and when I looked at the result, it really did give me that feeling of scraping my fingernails over something unpleasant...hahaa. I honestly liked this one myself, but no one has commented on it till now, so a double thanks.
