Muirneag and north Lewis.jpg

The 500 electricity generating turbines that "green" organisations want to build on this moorland will require 750 lorry loads of stone per day for three years to construct their foundations. The stone will also be excavated from this moorland. These lorries will require substantial roads so they can get across this ground and so the "greens" are going to totally destroy this landscape. David Bellamy, the botanist and environmentalist, has described fighting these turbines as the most important fight of his life.
