Your still lifes are consistently elegant in design, simple in composition and beautiful in color and form. They are objects we can just sit back and admire, and that is a treat in itself. And you go out and find those treats for us, over and over again. But it is very difficult to make a still life that also goes beyond aesthetics to challenge the mind as well. And you do that here, Carol -- very well. On the surface, this one works because of the rhythmic curves that carry the eye from corner to corner and deeply into the image. Yet the most incredible thing about this photograph is in the detail, however. There is a fan in the window that perfectly repeats the arc of both the window and its alcove. The person who live or works in there knows exactly why that fan is there. And so did you. And because of your amazing eye for detail, Carol, all of us now know why as well.

Perfect! Cruves echoing curves, lighting echoing lighting.

Lovely graphical image here, Carol. The fan is a lovely delicate touch in this curved frame. Good spotting !
