Nick, As a first generation Chinese American , I really appreciate your interesting pictures. The Hakka is a small sect in China. I was told that they were not held in esteem by the other majority sects in China. Some were Boat people living and making a living in small boats. Now a San diegian a transplant from san Francisco and have a Hakka boyhood friend in S.F.

Nick,
Wonderful photographs. I am looking to use a small photograph of a Haka house in an article on my blog on Chinese architectral tradition. (The article is already up athttp://singleplanet.blogs.com/single_planet/2005/01/urban_frenzy_.html) obviously I'd give a credit and link back.
Kind regards, Mark
