Today we went shopping. Between Home Depot and Pier One, we stopped here at Jo's Java for some Biancha (white chocolate latte). This was from the table we set at. It is Famours Dave's. THought about lunch there. But after Gander Mountain (did I say it was my type of shopping trip) we went to Cold Stone which was not open. But Olive Garden helped me recover from my disappointment over no cold stone ice cream. :( It was the kind of day one one could duplicate in almost any city in the country. The Starbucks is not open yet since the shopping center is still new. So perhaps most towns would have been an even better day. But when I long for the days of the small specialiazed local places, I go to Grandpa John's like we did last night. :)

I too miss the individuality of places. It would seem every city is like every other. Never have had a Chocolate Latte, will give that a try.

I love the description accompanying this great shot. But I have to say you couldn't duplicate that day around here -- I didn't recognize a single chain until you said "olive garden" which I have heard of but never seen and I have no idea where one might be located around here. The one thing you mentioned that we do have around here is Starbucks -- blech.

I like the colors here and the description of your gastronomic tour!

Nice small town feel to this, those places are the best.
