Actually, I got a 62 mm filter before getting the kit lens which requires a 67mm filter, so a step down ring was used.

GREAT IR images!..
I do notice however some minor vignetting in the corners @ 18mm ..Are you using your IR filter "alone" screwed into the lens, or are you "stacking" it on top of another filter?
