Yeah, I have to admit, I do LOVE my job. And regarding one post you made on Montoya, I didn't take it personally; in this particular race (March 03) he was such a nice guy. It was actually after this race where I became a huge fan. The year after in Shanghai, he was the polar opposite. But as I said in my story, "he's not paid to be nice to photographers; he's paid to be quick." You put it even better when you said you'd rather see him win races than popularity contests.
Thanks again for dropping by, and for your kind comments. I want you to know that I stopped by your gallery yesterday because I was doing a search on the olympus C-750. Halfway through browsing through your 2004 favorites, I called up the guy who was selling it and asked him to reserve the camera for me. I didn't need anymore convincing. I know its not the camera, but looking at your images helped me to appreciate the potential of the hardware and aspire to achieve the same one day.
I'm so jealous of your job !!! I'd kill to race against Montoya. I'm his age and we grew up on the same city (Bogota). Rumours say he would drive his car through the "Circunvalar" (a twisty road that borders the city) like he was on his kart race track. I did so myself (I guess less skillfully), so maybe, without knowing I did race him after all... not quite right?
