Simone, many thanks for not calling my shots proletarian, now THAT's would be an offence :-)) Clearly they are pedestrian being shot on pedestrian sidewalks. As for compassion, here is an example of a guy who really deserves it:

The masters of street photography, such as Cartier Bresson, believed compassion was an essential element of photography. Obviously that's an element you lack, and your snapshots remain pedestrian and bourgeois.
Alexeig, I was in Oslo a couple of months ago and saw a lot of these guys. There aren't any beggars in Sweden, don't know why. Anyway I asked one of them, who looked just like this one, why he was sitting there doing what he was doing (yes I have a big mouth). He said to be perfectly honest it was because he was a drug addict.
