Thank you all for your kind words. I know I still have a lot to learn.

The only changes I've done to this picture are a) increased the sharpness b)used curves and c) moved the right slider on all the individual channels (LEVEL) a little way past the base of the hill.

The original picture is a bit dark with an yellowish cast. This picture was shot with the camera placed on the railing. The only light was from a nearby lamp post.

This is wonderful shot but I am unsure about colors and orientation

I find the same rotation problem on my 10D, although sitting in my home and consciously doing a test showed that it is not a camera problem here, just a user one. ~ Lonnit

I actually find the same. It may be the G3, or it may be me :) I really really try to get the horizon straight and then upon seeing the pic, it is not. In fact I think the three images I posted may be lopsided too.

Nugar, I find that I have to rotate most of my pictures between 1 and 4 degrees clockwise. I wonder if it has something to do with right-handedness. BTW, this is a striking photo, whether it's a little lopsided or not.

Thanks Nugar. I'll get working on the counter clockwise motion. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

Is my head conunterclockwise? This is the third picture that I think might benefit from a bit of clockwise motion. Absolutely great picture, Lawry. I love the orange hue.
