Hi Frank, Thanks for the comment. I to flew aboard the Intrepid in 1968 on the C-2A Greyhound like the one in the photo. I flew from Subic Bay Naval Base in the Philippines to the Gulf of Tonkin. The Intrepid was doing operations off the coast of Vietnam. About a 3 hour flight. Like you said great experience ! I was in R-Div. Shipfitter!!!!

I was on USS Intrepid CVS 11, 68-69, Purple Shirt V-4 div. right out of high school, flew me over in
C O D landed on her out at sea, great experience !
